About the Oakland Volunteer Fire Company

Our Origins and Purpose

We established Oakland Volunteer Fire Company in 1933 to create a volunteer fire company for protecting life and property in the Oakland region of Stonycreek Township in Cambria County, Pennsylvania.

For 93 years, that purpose has not changed, nor will it, as we maintain efforts to evolve in fulfilling this purpose and duty by focusing on maintaining a well-trained and active membership through recruitment & retention.

We work with and for the communities we directly serve, including Lorain Borough since 2010, as well as the many communities we mutually serve both automatically and when requested.
